We are busy people.  We go along day to day, making a living, taking care of the family, having some fun with friends, and dealing with the normal crises of life as they come along.  If we are reasonably healthy and prosperous, we say that we have a good life, and certainly we try to help others whenever we can.  But is this all there is to life?  If we believe in God, we also believe that there is something beyond this earthly life.  This is a comfort at the time of a death, but does it make any difference in our daily life today? 
            I believe that it does.  The Bible teaches us that God loves us and has a purpose for His creation.  That purpose is not only for what we are doing now, but also for what He has for us in eternity.   Eternal life is far more than white robes and playing harps.  God's eternal plan makes a difference, and shapes our lives in all that we are and do here and now.  That is the point of the binoculars in the picture.  Our growth in the Lord is in searching out, and understanding His purpose for us in life.
